The TEAM Card for lifting equipment examiners has been accredited by CSCS

LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) has announced that its TEAM identity card for lifting equipment examiners has been accredited by the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme), the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. As a result, the TEAM Card will now carry the CSCS logo, providing contractors and house-builders with assurance that the holder has the training and qualifications necessary to conduct thorough examinations of equipment such as cranes, hoists and slings.

Martin Bencher Uses Low Profile Skidding System for Power Plant Project

Project cargo freight forwarder Martin Bencher USA LLC used an LP400 low profile skidding system from Canadian manufacturer Hydra-Slide Ltd to complete installation of 24 hulking loads at a power plant in Texas.

With 12,325USt engines and the same number of 80USt generators loaded over a three-week period through two doors at the facility, time and space were key considerations for Martin Bencher, making the LP400 stand out over alternative solutions.

A new market-leading material lift took on a starring role during the installation of a large glass panel at the Empire Cinema in London’s Leicester Square, UK.

UK rental company Hird spent months working closely with German manufacturer, Wienold, to develop the GML 800+ material lift. Hird applied its considerable experience in material and glass lifts to contribute to the creation of the GML 800+ and was the first UK hire company to add the machine to its fleet.
