Combilift Ltd.

Based in Monaghan, Ireland, Combilift’s innovative load handling solutions are exported to over 85 countries. The company specialises in products – all customised to individual requirements – that can ensure the safe, space saving and productive handling of even the most oversized and awkward loads, which have benefitted companies across myriad industry sectors.

Combilift made its name when it launched the world’s first IC engine powered, all-wheel drive multidirectional forklift in 1998. Its expansive portfolio now encompasses not only multidirectional trucks and sideloaders but also straddle carriers and mobile gantries, stand-on trucks, the Aisle Master narrow aisle articulated forklifts and pedestrian operated stackers.

Combilift’s range of straddle carriers and mobile gantries are designed specifically for companies that need to move particularly heavy or cumbersome materials. They are cost effective, flexible handling solutions, with capacities of up to 100t which offer complete independence when moving loads around a site or manufacturing facilities and also for loading and offloading HGVs. A major advantage of these compared to container handling forklifts, reach stackers or mobile cranes is their much lower own weight and therefore greatly reduced ground pressure, which enables fuel efficiency and the ability to operate on poor terrain without the need for costly reinforcement. They are available with diesel or LPG power options and remote control operation if required.
Straddle carriers enable loads to be prepared at ground level reducing multiple handling and associated product damage, and this also substantially improves safety for personnel, who do not need to work at height on trailers. The time it takes to prepare and load is also drastically reduced, leading to higher levels of productivity.

Continual 7% of revenue investment in R&D keeps Combilift at the forefront of innovation and has enables its position as a worldwide market leader in its sector. Taking feedback from its customer base on board when developing new products also ensures that they fulfil the exact requirements for each specific application. Combilift also uses readily available standard components for its products, making them straightforward and cost effective to maintain and service, wherever in the world they are operating.
