Sensor Technology manufactures the LoadSense range wireless load cells and WSG series of wireless strain gauge transmitters/receivers, offering accurate, affordable, market leading products across the whole range of lifting and handling applications. Sensor Technology also manufactures the range of rotary torque transducers known as TorqSense.

LoadSense Wireless Load Sensors
The wireless LoadSense load sensor is a battery powered, strain gauge based, stainless steel tension type load cell, with the capability of wirelessly transmitting its data to one of our compatible readouts/displays or recording its data internally. LoadSense can be integrated with a crane hook, fork lift or many other handling devices. Sizes are available from 1 Tonne to 50 Tonnes, with other sizes on request.
LoadSense transmits using the worldwide licence free frequency of 2.4GHz on two built-in antennas, at a distance of at least 100m. It’s inbuilt 32MB memory can hold up to 149 hours of data, which can then be downloaded to a PC via USB. The internal rechargeable battery can last up to 1000 hours, depending on the sample rate specified by the user. This development allows weighing processes to be fully integrated with handling operations. All live data is captured in real time and can be transferred to a database, stored, totalised and analysed.
The LoadSense load sensors can be used with our Handheld Receiver Display (WLS-HR) and/or Cabin Receiver Display (WLS-CD), both displays can read up to 9 devices at the same time. These load sensors can be individually named by plugging the LoadSense into a PC via USB and using the load sensor software. They can then be easily distinguished on the displays, which will show the name of the current LoadSense load sensor being read.
Our standalone PC Receiver Interface (WLS-RI) can also be used to output the data via RS232/RS422 to a PC. LoadView Virtual Instrumentation Display Software is available to provide users with a very cost-effective solution to measuring, recording and displaying data from the load sensor/s.

WSG Series Wireless Strain Gauge Transmitter
The wireless strain gauge transmitter WSG series is capable of turning any manufacturer’s strain gauge based sensors into wireless systems. There are two transmitters in the range, WSG-STM and WSG-STD. The WSG-STM transmitter box is a standalone unit that has an internal rechargeable battery or can be powered from 11-32V, and also provides the USB connection for the PC. The WSG-STD DIN mounted box can be powered from a standard DIN rail supply 11-32V.
Each WSG transmitter unit is capable of working with 350 ohm strain gauges and above, calibration data can be set by the user for the corresponding sensor using our simple interface software. WSG-STM and WSG-STD transmitters interface with our range of handheld/wall-mounted/PC displays and readouts, creating a versatile and simple to install system which can be easily moved between applications if required.

TorqSense Rotary Torque Transducers
TorqSense Digital torque transducers offer cost effective, non-contact digital rotary torque measurement, using Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology, suitable for torque monitoring, testing or controlling drive mechanisms with ranges available from 10mNm up to 13000Nm. TorqSense transducers and their technology are particularly appropriate for OEM applications.
