Registration opens for first virtual IPAF Summit and IAPAs

Booking is now open for this year’s Summit of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), which will be hosted for the first time ever as a global virtual event in conjunction with a digital prize-giving ceremony for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) on 18 March 2021, from 3pm GMT.

The theme of the condensed digital summit will be sustainability, and the digital event will be hosted by Mark Durden Smith, presenter of English rugby union coverage on national TV in the UK.

The theme of the IPAF Summit will consider the wider question of sustainability in powered access, the challenges of operating safely and effectively in the post-Covid-19 era, and the opportunities of digital and technological innovation for safer work at height and quality training. Presenters include Suzannah Nichol, CEO of Build UK; Søren Brogaard of Trackunit; Peter Douglas, CEO and managing director of IPAF and Karel Huijser (JLG), Pierre Boels (Boels) and Norty Turner (United Rentals) in a virtual round-table discussion on sustainability in powered access.

Each of the keynote presentations and discussions will be interspersed by announcements of the category winners of the 2020-21 IAPAs, as well as coffee breaks featuring video presentations from sponsors, and a closing virtual networking session.

Peter Douglas, CEO of IPAF, says, “We may have been forced to change the way we normally do things owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but we are pleased and excited that through this innovative online approach many attendees from around the world will still be able to benefit from a high-quality series of speakers and to participate in the celebrations as we announce the latest winners of the various IAPAs categories. We hope people will be able to join us and that they are looking forward to this event in an exciting new digital format as much as we are. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors CMC Lift, Hinowa and ELS Lift for their support, for helping to make this event happen.”

Those wishing to attend the virtual IPAF Summit & IAPAs celebration are advised to register now, as delegates can not attend without registering.
