Dino – Up To the Job at Bauma

Dinolift Oy, the Finnish manufacturer of Dino lightweight aerial work platforms, is showing a variety of lifts from its current range, as well as something new, at Bauma 2019.

“The Dino lightweight family will grow with the addition of a new member in order to better meet the demands of the market.” says Veli-Matti Savo, commercial director of Dinolift. More information about the launch will follow nearer to the show.

Also on show are the latest model in the Dino RXT range – the Dino 280RXT wheeled boom lift with outriggers and the new Dino 230VT 3.5t truck mounted lift.

The Dino RXT series is a lightweight 4×4 wheeled boom lift with outriggers the latest model DIino 280RXT takes the series to a new level regarding boom performance and overall
usability while maintaining the original idea of low overall weight.

Because of the light weight Dino RXT is a suitable choice whenever there are weight restrictions on the work site or outstanding off-road and levelling capability on a difficult ground are required.

The powerful Kubota engine combined with the low overall weight and low centre of gravity of the machine allows it to move easily even if ground conditions are challenging. Moreover the low weight means it does not get stuck in mud or damage delicate surfaces whether it is working outside or inside.

The Dino RXT has a next-generation boom which gives the operator superior outreach with a heavier basket load. Another advantage is the high-rising articulating arm together with the 140deg range of motion 1.6m long jib boom. Faster drive speed and the outriggers add to the working efficiency.

The Dino 230VT truck mounted platform has a straight telescopic boom lift with a working
height of 23m. The lift is mounted on a 3.5t vehicle chassis and requires a B-class driver’s license.

The user-friendly Dino 230VT features intuitive controls, automatic levelling, an easy-entry basket with non-slip stairway, and three jacking options – everything the users needs for working at height safely and efficiently.

It is equipped with a next-generation boom that uses durable yet lightweight ultra-high strength steel to optimise lift performance without increasing total weight. The telescope cylinder is located inside the boom, so it is effectively protected from dirt and damage. The boom’s new design and excellent strength-to-weight ratio provide a competitive working load and lifting capability.

The Dino 230VT is purpose-built for rental use, which means that it can be operated in varying conditions and temperatures. Extensive service documentation and excellent spare part availability also increase the lift’s long-term cost-effectiveness.
Dinolift is also showing machines from its current range: the Dino 220XTC II crawler; the 160XTB II trailer mounted platform

The Dino 220XTC II crawler is a good choice for extreme working conditions. Robust but still lightweight and compact, Dino 220XTC II features a gradeability of 43% combined with a levelling capability of 16deg. Because of its long tracks it is extremely safe to drive and for easier manoeuvrability it can be equipped with an optional radio-control.

For indoor operations the XTC II has a 240VAC electric motor for all movements as well as the optional non-marking tracks. In addition to 220XTC II shown is also the bespoke all aluminum DT3500L trailer for easy transporting of the Dino crawler.

The popular trailer-mounted Dino 160XTB II with a working height of 16m will also be on display at Bauma. The battery-powered, compact 160XTB II comes with all the Dino standard features, such as continuous rotation of the boom, 180deg hydraulic basket rotation, easy-entry gate on the aluminum basket and proportional controls for smooth operation. The machine is also equipped with automatic levelling, LED outrigger support indicator, cable steering for the driving and 2kW Honda generator for charging
batteries where 230VAC is not available.
