Akerstroms Bjorbo AB Partners with TRL Funksysteme GmbH in Germany

In order to expand in Europe, Åkerströms Björbo AB  has partnered with TRL Funksysteme GmbH in Germany. The agreement means that TRL Funksysteme GmbH will be Åkerströms’ German distributor of radio remote controls to the industrial and mobile markets.

TRL Funksysteme GmbH, placed in Rodgau, 20 km east of Frankfurt in Germany, were founded in 1983 and has today 10 employees. TRL Funksysteme GmbH has over the past five years specialized in different radio solutions within the field of bi-directional data radio (short-range radio). Through the partnership agreement, TRL Funksysteme will add Åkerströms’ Remotus and Sesam products to its product range.

“TRL Funksysteme GmbH has a great experience from different radio solutions within the industry and has an already recognized market, which we now are able widen and expand together,” says Andreas Hedström, VP of sales and export manager at Åkerströms Björbo AB. ”We have for some years a co-operation with a number of direct customers in Germany, but in order to grow further and to be able to give the customers the fast service and support that is required, which is one of the most important pieces for the customer and for us at Åkerströms, we need a local representative. Our strategy is to expand internationally through distributors.”
