Bil-Jax Plans Launch of Two Additional Summit Series Models

At The Rental Show 2006, Bil-Jax, Inc., Archbold, Ohio, introduced the Summit Series product line, which at the time consisted of four trailer-mounted boom lifts. Pending successful field trials this fall, the company is positioned to add two new models to the Summit Series: the 2622T and 4642T.

The smaller of the two new models is the 2622T, which has a lift height of 26'6” and a 22-foot maximum horizontal outreach at centerline. According to Bil-Jax, the 2622T is an ideal starter unit for tool rental centers or small mom-and-pop shops that want to try their hand at the access rental market, and it is also an attractive machine for specific end-user market segments.

Touted as the shorter brother of the 3632T, the 2622T features a compact length of 16'5.5”. Because this machine is built on the same trailer chassis as the 3522A, the 2622T also can be equipped with Bil-Jax's retractable axle system, providing single doorway access and allowing for a high degree of maneuverability inside buildings.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 4642T trailer-mounted boom lift features a triple-stage boom that reaches a 46'4” platform height and 42-foot outreach at the centerline. Stowed dimensions of the 4642T are 19'2”x5'5”x6'5”. Total weight of the machine is 5,400 pounds.

With the addition of these machines, which are scheduled for formal introductions at The Rental Show in February 2007, Bil-Jax fills out the remainder of its trailer-mounted boom lift product line. By early 2007, the Summit Series product range will consist of three articulating and three telescopic models with platform heights reaching between 26'6” and 55'3”.

In addition to these new models, Bil-Jax also recently introduced its broad selection of options and accessories for the Summit Series, which includes a pallet fork option, a hydraulic jib rotator for articulating models, and the drive-and-set feature, which is available on all models.
