CONEXPO Seminar Programme for South America – Industry News

The inaugural CONEXPO Latin America held October 21-24, 2015 in Santiago, Chile, was proclaimed a success with strong exhibitor support, valued industry cooperation, and positive reaction from attendees.

To continue the momentum between the first and the second show – planned for 2017 – CONEXPO is holding a high-level seminar programme in Lima, Peru.

on October 10-11 in Lima, Peru (Swissotel). Andrija Korolija of Graña y Montero, a leading engineering company, will lead the committee of industry leaders planning the event.

The seminar programme committee is comprised of a cross-section of industry executives who will oversee planning of the event to ensure it meets industry needs.

Direct industry guidance is a hallmark of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), owner and producer of CONEXPO Latin America and the internationally-known CONEXPO-CON/AGG held in Las Vegas, USA.

Korolija said, “The seminars held as part of CONEXPO Latin America 2015 were excellent and received good feedback from attendees. I am proud that we are able to bring this level of professional education in 2016 also to Lima. It will be a great opportunity for all participants to hear about the latest technologies and trends, share best practices, and interact with other industry professionals from Peru, the entire region and around the globe.

“It is a great honour for me and my company to be leading the CONEXPO Latin America planning committee as we work towards continued industry success and economic growth in our region,” said Korolija.

Graña y Montero is one of the region’s largest engineering and infrastructure companies, operating in seven countries across Latin America with permanent operations in Peru, Chile and Colombia.

Korolija is a consultant and retired equipment manager with Graña y Montero. He has more than 40 years of engineering, plant and project management experience, with both regional and international expertise. He also served on the 2015 CONEXPO Latin America managing committee.

The CONEXPO Latin America 2016 Seminar Programme will feature expert-led sessions on a variety of focused topics to help attendees sharpen their skills and improve their businesses’ efficiencies and productivity, all vital to remain competitive in the marketplace.
