Dematic’s iQ upgrade targets mixed case fulfilment

Dematic, a leading global supplier of integrated automated technology, software and services to optimise the supply chain, has released updates to the latest release of its Warehouse Execution System software platform, Dematic iQ 2.4.

Dave Adams, director of Dematic Global Software Strategy says, "This is another important step in our vision to match software capabilities with customer needs. The new release strengthens the Dematic iQ platform and its options for delivering cost-effective solutions no matter the size of operation or level of automation."

This most recent release includes a wide range of innovations, from harmonising development platforms deep within the software to providing enhanced screens and reports for the user interface.

Specific benefits of this release target mixed-case order fulfillment applications for supply chain automation. To reduce store replenishment time the Dematic Automated Mixed Case Palletising (AMCAP) system builds store-ready, aisle-friendly pallets. Product damage is minimised because equipment speed adjusts automatically throughout the entire process to accommodate product weights, fragilities and centres-of-gravity to ensure stability. Systems are no longer constrained by their most delicate item, providing optimised performance across a wide variety of items. New innovations increase storage density by using shared lifts between stacked Dematic Multishuttle buffers.

Dematic iQ is a comprehensive real-time software platform that automates and optimises distribution centre operations, coordinating material flow from receiving to shipping and enhancing equipment and labour productivity.

Built on a single global platform, Dematic iQ is a scalable solution from simple/conventional operations to highly integrated/automated facilities. Configurable, easy to implement modules encapsulate best practices learned over decades of material handling experience and through proprietary logistics and operational research.

Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dematic is a member of Kion Group, a global leader in industrial trucks, related services and supply chain solutions across more than 100 countries.
