Elavation expands tracked boom fleet / Industrial News

Independent access rental company Elavation has extended its range of Hinowa tracked boom lifts.

The UK-based powered access specialist has taken delivery of a Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS, a crawler-mounted articulated boom offering a 25.7m maximum working height (23.7m max. platform height) and up to 13.6m of horizontal reach.

Elavation already supplies a range of Hinowa booms to its customers, including the 14m Hinowa 14.70 and 20m Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 llls Lithium with advanced lithium-ion battery technology.

Daniel Gonzalez of Elavation said, “Our Hinowa tracked booms are extremely popular for airport and shopping centre operations. The new 26.14 further extends the available working height and fills a gap in our product range. It has all the features our customers love; as well as a few refinements that make it even better.”

Elavation purchased the machine – one of the first 26m Hinowa booms in the UK – from APS, the official UK distributor for Italian manufacturer, Hinowa’s full range of tracked access platforms, mini-dumpers and compact site handling equipment.

The Lightlift 26.14 can lift 230kg – enough for two people with tools – without restriction throughout its working envelope. The dual pantograph boom design lets users work flush to walls and the drive train has a three-speed system which ensures it reaches the work area quickly.

As a tracked boom, the LightLift 26.14 has very low ground pressure and non-marking tracks, making it ideal for working indoors on sensitive flooring; as well as outdoors on soft ground. The machine retracts to just 990mm wide for passing through doorways or in between buildings and has a transport length of less than 6m because of the easily detachable basket.
