EMH Names Operations Manager | Industry News

Engineered Material Handling (EMH) announces it has appointed Jean-Francois (Jeff) Larouche as operations manager for North America and South America and EMH’s international operations. Larouche will oversee and coordinate all engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing functions, as well as work with sales to forecast work requirements.

A native of Quebec, Larouche has been part of the crane industry for more than 17 years, beginning his career as a crane technician before moving into the role of international field installation supervisor, and technical manager and project director for ECL Services of Quebec, part of the Rio Tinto Alcan Group. He spent 10 years overseeing engineering, research & development, and project management of specialized process cranes for the aluminum industry, as well as standard overhead cranes.

Larouche’s professional studies include International Management at Laval University in Quebec and Electrodynamics (Limilou CEGEP, Quebec), which includes PLCs and variable frequency drives controls. He is also a licensed Master Electrician (Canada) and OSHA Certified Crane Inspector.
