First delivery of Magni’s Stage V-compliant rotating telescopic handlers

Beyer-Mietservice KG, headquartered in the Westerwald region and with service centres all over Germany, has increased its fleet of rotating telescopic handlers and accessories. The rental company, which operates throughout Europe, opted for Magni machines because of their focus on technology and environmentally conscious innovation.

Earlier in the year Riccardo Magni, managing director of Magni, and his son Carlo Magni, vice president, did not miss the opportunity to attend the symbolic handing-over of 40 rotating telescopic handlers in person to Beyer-Mietservice.

In 1981 Riccardo Magni took over the management of FARGH Spa, a company founded by his father Pietro Magni and specialising in the development and production of hydraulic cranes. A year earlier, Riccardo Magni’s father had also developed a telescopic forklift with patented lifting arm, which was produced for the entire European market.

Riccardo Magni’s further development of telescopic handlers led to a 27-year joint venture with, Manitou. During almost three decades of managing Manitou’s joint venture, Riccardo Magni developed and optimised telehandlers and registered more than 40 Italian and international patents for fixed and rotating telehandlers.

Riccardo Magni has brought his extensive experience and the competence of a team of specialists for development and production of telehandlers, to Magni, which began operation in 2013.

The first package of 40 rotating telescopic handlers from Magni with a maximum load capacity of 7000kg and a maximum lifting height of 29.8m meets the emission standard Stage V.

Magni is the first and believes it is currently the only manufacturer on the market with Stage V-compliant rotating telescopic handlers in this performance class. An important factor that led Beyer-Mietservice to the choice of the Italian manufacturer for the expansion of its rotating telescopic handler fleet.  Low emissions and, if possible, emission-free: machines were very important for Beyer-Mietservice, which operates throughout Europe. The rotating telescopic handler package from Magni means Beyer-Mietservice is now thought to be the first rental company in Germany with Stage V-compliant telescopic handlers.

After the first few months in operation, a spokesperson from Beyer-Mietservice said, “Magni’s Stage-V telescopic handlers are in great demand and meet our high quality standards.”

The new Magni rotating telescopic handlers also include a large package of attachments for multifunctional use of these machines as cranes, working platforms and forklifts. The package of attachment tools includes winches, hooks, heavy-duty buckets and working platforms as well as telescopic hooks, platforms with winches and jibs. New areas of application for the rotating telescopic handlers are opened by equipping the machines with a Twin Energy-System from Magni. This system offers the opportunity to use machines in areas that require emission-free solutions.

After successful installation of attachment, the automatic attachment recognition on the boom head activates live corresponding load diagram on the multifunctional display and load moment limitation, this supports the safety during operation. The radio remote control offers a clear view on the machine, application area and attached load, it can be used also for hydraulic movements, such as raising and lowering the telescopic arm.
