Hoist Liftruck Mfg. Introduces Remote Diagnostics System

Hoist Liftruck Mfg., Inc., Bedford Park, Ill., recently introduced a new diagnostics system on its entire line of liftrucks that will help monitor numerous vehicle functions, helping to maintain quality performance and prevent premature damage. The RemoteTech system monitors potential problems in the engine, transmission, autoshifting, hydraulics, and filters as well as shock, overloading, and vehicle speed. RemoteTech will be standard on all series of Hoist liftrucks, including the cushion-tire Titan and FKS series, pneumatic-tire P-Series, electric Lazer Series, and marina Neptune Series.

The service provider can program standards RemoteTech needs to monitor, such as maximum load capacity, speed limit, and clogged filters. Wireless communications allow RemoteTech to automatically notify assigned recipients via email of any occurrence, specifying the time, date and details of the occurrence. Problems can then be addressed remotely, or service can be scheduled if necessary. The system will also allow the service provider to reprogram, add, or delete any of the standards from a remote location.

“A company can lose a significant amount of time and money with a disabled truck,” says Martin Flaska, president of Hoist Liftruck Mfg. “RemoteTech can detect problems and give warnings before further damage can be done. We want to help our customers get the most out of their liftrucks and see their business be successful.”
