Hoist UK Continues Growth with Engineer Appointment

Industrial and entertainment lifting specialist Hoist UK continues to expand, naming Geoff Cromwell its new lifting equipment engineer.

Cromwell brings over 40 years of experience within the lifting equipment industry, having previously been employed by Aabacas Cranes, Fellows-Stringer, PCM (a division of Pfaff-silberblau) and more recently Lift Turn Move.

Hoist UK director Paul Jordan said: “Feeling part of a team is sometimes daunting when you start with a new company but Geoff has worked with some of the team before; he was at Aabacas with Wayne Ridgeley for six years, worked alongside Tony Dickson for 10 years at Pfaff and I have known him for several years myself. He has already fitted in and is a valued member of the Hoist UK team.”

Hoist UK had earlier this year added lifting industry veteran Ridgeley to its technical team as a design and project engineer.

Cromwell will lead the engineering team, responsible for the general day to day running of the workshop, as well as on site installations and LOLER inspections.

Hoist UK director Tony Dickson said: “I have known Geoff for over 15 years and it is great to be working with him again. His experience and work ethic are admirable; we are lucky to have him on board and he adds depth to our already formidable team.”

Cromwell said: “I am excited to start a new challenge with Hoist UK and look forward to working with Tony and Wayne again. It’s good to be getting involved with all aspects of the lifting game and being involved with projects right from start to finish. Some of the projects I have seen already are innovative and cover the full range of industries; it’s just a great place to work and great people to work with.”

Hoist UK general manager Louise Dickson said: “Geoff’s previous experience and qualifications, including his four LEEA qualifications, are a great asset to Hoist UK and further the company’s and my own personal commitment towards training our staff to the highest possible level, which results in offering customers an unrivalled service. We pride ourselves on supplying and installing technically correct and safe products.”
