IntegriCert Introduces Vic-Lok Shackle

New Iberia, La.-based load testing, inspection and rigging equipment provider IntegriCert has introduced the Vic-Lok Shackle, a permanently attached shackle that increases safety by eliminating the possibility of using incorrect shackles. The Vic-Lok’s shackles can’t be removed without being cut off or destroyed. Its patent-pending design has a 5:1 load safety factor and is available in 1/2-inch, 5/8-inch, 3/4-inch, 7/8-inch and 1-inch sizes. The shackles have certified load ranges between 3.5 tons and 13 tons.

The Vic-Lok meets and exceeds ANSI B30.26 requirements as well as meets Federal Specification RR C-27-1-D, Type 4B, Grade A performance requirements. The product series also offers A-B-S and D-N-V “pull to destruction” test documents.

“The Vic-Lok is one of the first shackles designed to address the most common shackle-related safety concerns,” said Vic Segura, IntegriCert president. “As shackles are often stored separately from the slings, we designed this permanently captivated shackle to eliminate the dangerous risk of shackles that are too small for the load, or different sizes on the same sling, leading to an unbalanced lift.”
