Kito Releases EQ Electric Chain Hoist Introduction Video

Kito Europe GmbH has released a new video presentation that highlights the unique design and features of the EQ series electric chain hoist. The video demonstrates the advanced functions of the frequency inverter which is provided as standard in all EQ hoists and EQM motorised trolleys.

The inverter provides an industry-first “light load high-speed” function, that automatically increases hoist speed to 130% when the load is less than 30% of working load limit. Additionally, the inverter provides electronic overload and overheating protection, and allows easy adjustment of both the high and low lifting and lowering speeds.

The video shows end users how Kito has eliminated several common electrical components that are generally regarded as high-maintenance items. For example, the hoist contains no contactors, no transformer, and no brake coil, greatly reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

The company said the EQ is available in 125kg, 250kg, 500kg and 1,000kg models. Similar to all Kito chain hoists, the EQ comes standard with a Kito brand grade 80 NP type load chain. This nickel-plated chain is well known for its corrosion resistance, as well as a super-smooth surface that greatly reduces link-to-link wear.

Kito is a worldwide leader in electric and manual chain hoists, with subsidiaries or partners in all major global markets. Its European sales and supply effort is headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany, providing new product supply, spares, and before and after sales support.
