Magni’s flexible telehandlers make their mark at ConExpo

North America is a relatively new market for rotating telehandlers but one that is developing and expanding. Italian manufacturer Magni took advantage of the ConExpo exhibition, held at the beginning of March in Las Vegas, USA, to consolidate it’s position in that market and launch a new rotating model – the RTH 6.46SH.

With a 46m maximum height, Magni believes the RTH 6.46SH has the highest reach of any rotating telehandler. It also has a 6USt maximum lifting capacity made possible through the choice of materials in construction and optimising the machine’s weight and dimensions. For example the perforated boom is lighter and provides a long reach – at it’s maximum height it can lift 2.5USt

The operator’s cab includes the features and options common to all the RTH range of machines such as: air conditioning and heating; touch screen display; electric system in CAN BUS and integrated diagnostics and load sensing circuit.

During ConExpo Magni reported considerable interest in the machine and positive feedback from visitors, customers and end users.  The company says, “These are, in fact, the most suitable models for use in urban construction sites in cities with high population density, like New York, where work spaces are often limited and working at considerable heights is inevitable. In such situations it is, therefore, imperative to have the possibility of using compact machinery that can perform a number of functions at the same time.”

A characteristic of the RTH series is the speed and ease at which attachments can be changed – it can be used as a telehandler when equipped with forks; an aerial platform if equipped with a basket; or a crane if equipped with a winch or jib with winch.

The entire RTH series is fitted with Euro 4final, Deutz or Mercedes engines to comply with the air pollution regulations and environmental sustainability.
