MLE Adds 15-Ton Crane to Lineup

Man & Material Lift Engineering, Cudahy, Wis., has developed a battery-powered carrydeck crane to be used in a clean room for aircraft assembly. According to the company, typical engine-powered carrydeck cranes pose problems when operated indoors in a confined environment.

Features of this product include: dual 15-hp Prime Mover motors, 72V, 800 Amp-Hour long-life batteries, multifunction proportional boom operation, non-marking tires, onboard high-capacity battery charger, digital LMI system, four-wheel steering, 17,000# lift capability on tires, and 30,000# lifting capability on outriggers.

Other smaller models to be released soon include the IC20 (5-ton capacity), IC35 (8-ton capacity), IC40 (9-ton capacity), and IC80 (18-ton capacity).
