Noax Technologies Supports New Industrial PC Standard

Noax Technologies, Huntersville, N.C., announced their Industrial PCs support the new IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard.

This new standard features faster data transfer rates, better reach, more efficient energy consumption, and increased overall security for transmissions.

Compared to previous versions, the new IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard (also referred to as the n-standard) features significant overall improvements in data transfer processes. It has higher data transfer rates reaching gross bit rates of up to 450 MB/s, and a net bit rate of roughly 180 MB/s. To optimize speed, users can employ either the 2.4-GHz or 5-GHz channel, depending on which has higher free capacity.

In order to maintain uninterrupted transmission, noax Industrial PCs have up to three antennas that will receive and send information simultaneously. This provides better consistency of coverage and therefore increased data transfer security—sudden connection failures from obstructions occur far less frequently. In addition to higher data rates, the new standard also provides better reach.

The new features of the n-standard make it particularly beneficial in industrial environments. Among these are high transmission speeds and a more reliable coverage, making it ideal for locations where an uninterrupted wireless connection is required.

One of the leading providers of reliable industry PCs, noax Technologies has years of experience in the proprietary development and production of completely sealed systems. The company also offers a full spectrum of services ranging from consultation and sales to installation and comprehensive support. Their IPCs are used around the world in the harshest environments, where the terminals have proven resistant to heat, cold, moisture, dust, vibration, jolting, acids, and bases.
