Nuvera Introduces Orion Fuel Cell Stacks
Nuvera Fuel Cells, Billerica, Mass., is introducing its Orion fuel cell stack at the ProMat 2013 show. Orion is designed to be easily integrated by forklift manufacturers and other industrial vehicle OEMs into their product suite. When used to power material handling equipment, Orion delivers higher productivity, lower cost of ownership and reduced emissions.
What makes Orion unique is Nuvera's fuel cell stack architecture, which provides a current density that reduces the capital cost for a given amount of power produced, higher efficiency leading to lower operating cost, and a third party-verified high-durability design. Orion delivers unsurpassed performance ranging from 8 to 300 kW. Orion is supplied with SmartStack, Nuvera's proprietary stack control logic that enables rapid and reliable integration of Orion by OEMs into their products. SmartStack can be supplied as a software download into the OEM control unit, or embedded into a Nuvera electronic control unit available as an option.
