Red Rooster Lifting celebrates 30 years

UK company Red Rooster Lifting Ltd celebrates 30 years of delivering powered lifting and load measuring solutions to projects as diverse as St Paul’s Cathedral in London and the new Queensferry Crossing across the Forth in Scotland.

Founded in 1989 Red Rooster has grown from three staff working out of a small unit in Altens, to a team of 50 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and the Midlands, England.

The company began its 30th celebrations with a dinner at the prestigious Meldrum House Hotel to reward the dedication of some of their loyal staff with a combined 300 years’ experience working for the company.

Bill Aitken, Red Rooster’s managing director, who joined in 1993 said; “Our vision has been clear from day one; to look after every single client’s lifting and load measuring requirements by delivering consistently high levels of quality, service, safety and integrity. And we’ve only been able to do this because of our people – a brilliant team that we wanted to recognise for the major part they have played in our success.”

As part of their 30th anniversary programme Red Rooster plans a year-long community engagement programme that will see staff challenged to raise money for local children’s charities – every pound raised will be matched by the Red Rooster directors.

Red Rooster has signed up to become official sponsors of the Inverness and Banchory Beast Races in 2019, which will see the distinctive Red Rooster logo on staff t-shirts as many of them take on the gruelling 10K obstacle challenge.

Aitken said, “These are exciting times at Red Rooster. We are already rolling out the next generation of lifting technology including the fastest air hoists on the market, but I’d really want to thank all our customers and staff for their commitment to the first 30 years as we look to the next 30.”
