R&M Spacemaster SX Wire Rope Hoist Meets HMI Certification Requirements | Industry News

R&M Materials Handling Inc.., Springfield, Ohio, reports that its Spacemaster SX is the first wire rope hoist platform to receive the HMI-certified license. HMI-certified is a registered asset of the Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI). The certification is verified by registered U.S. professional engineers and designates that the SX wire rope hoist meets FEM, DIN, and EN standards. The purpose of the HMI-certified program is to instill buyer and user confidence in the product by assuring it meets one or more recognized industry standards and the licensee is committed to safety, service. and after market support.
 
First introduced in 2001, the Spacemaster SX wire rope hoist includes a large drum diameter to provide a low headroom and efficient wheel loads. Standard configurations include normal headroom, low headroom, and double girder trolley designs and it has capacities ranging from 1/2 to 80 tons.
