Sea-Land Distributors to Supply Scotload Load Monitoring Products in United States

Scotload, part of James Fisher and Sons plc, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Sea-Land Distributors, a wholesale distributor of wire rope and rigging products in New Orleans.

With this agreement, Sea-Land will distribute and provide after-sales service for Scotload’s range of load testing and certification equipment in the United States. The available product range will include load measuring links and shackles, up to 2,000-tonne capacity, for use by engineers involved in load testing.

Jonathan Harris, business development manager for Scotload, said: “Our products need local support, and I’m pleased we’ve found a quality partner with the expertise and infrastructure to give our brand the exposure it needs in the United States. Sea-Land is already performing very well with Wirop, and I’m excited about the potential for future growth in our new partnership.”

Mike Hall, Sea-Land’s president and owner, added: “As a commitment to this partnership, we have ordered a 250-tonne vertical testing machine to perform calibration services.  We will also offer and maintain a rental fleet of load links and load shackles on a wholesale price basis to non-end users.”
