Second B-Lift 187 for Lucca Fire Fighters

A few months ago the Pisa Fire Brigade bought a ZED 19 articulated truck-mounted platform from Italian manufacturer CTE and now the company has supplied the Lucca Fire Brigade in Tuscany, with an industrial telescopic truck-mounted platform B-Lift 187 for rescue purposes.

The B-Lift 187 has an18m working height, 12.7m of outreach and a 250kg capacity. To meet the requirements of the Lucca Fire Brigade, this platforms is equipped with a water/air pipe connected to the basket and with 250bar of power, a 12V light on the basket, alarm and flashing lights on the cabin.

The Lucca’s Fire Brigade already owns a B-Lift 187 adapted for the fire department operations and has chosen to have another one of the same model. The choice is driven by the machines performance and its compact dimensions, which allow it to negotiate narrow roads safely and operate in confined spaces.

Lucca Fire Brigade’s team leader, Moreno Andreuccetti, said,"The boom of this platform is very stable and over the years we have never had problems, it requires very little maintenance. During the rescue work following the tornado that recently hit the Versilia seaside, we had a great ally. "

This platform has been donated by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Lucca city. Drawing on  the experience with its B-Fire brand of aerial fire fighting and rescue, CTE can adds these industrial platforms to the range of platforms which can serve in firefighting.
