Support Agreement Announced Between Liebherr, Wheco Corp.

Liebherr has announced a joint product support agreement with Richland, Wash.-based, crane repair specialist Wheco Corp. to offer timely and cost-effective structural repairs for Liebherr Ehingen cranes. The crane manufacturer attributes the agreement to Wheco's knowledge, experience, facilities, and trained technicians.

Designed to complement Liebherr's existing repair facility capabilities in Virginia and Texas, the agreement provides for a Liebherr warranty on all Wheco repairs that are processed through the Liebherr product support group. That is in addition to the standard Wheco warranty.

“Having the ability to do this type of work here will provide great value to our customers,” says Ralf Vieten, executive vice-president of service for Liebherr Cranes, Inc., who notes that now the company will be able to offer cost-effective structural repair services to more of its North American customers.

Wheco technicians recently received Liebherr certifications, after completing training, testing, and skills requirements in Ehingen, Germany. “We look forward to working closely with Liebherr and their customers,” said Ron Williams, CEO of Wheco. “Liebherr is a very forward-thinking crane industry leader that recognizes the necessity of our specialized services and the quality and value that it can bring to their customers.”
