TCA Lifting Expand Maeda Range With First LC785 Mini Crane

TCA Lifting Ltd. has delivery of its first level crawler crane, the LC785; this is the first of several LC cranes from the Maeda Mini Crane line TCA plans to add to its fleet.

First job for this machine sees the LC785 supplied to lift and fit a 1.5t sculpture into a private residence in the South East of England.

The sculpture, designed and created by Nic Fiddian Green, named Still Water was originally commissioned for Lady Bamford. The original piece was first installed at Marble Arch while the Bamfords sought planning permission, and then taken to their Gloucestershire estate. But it was much missed at Marble Arch so Fiddian Green sculpted a copy for the spot.

A further 16ft copy has recently been sculpted for a private residence. The LC785 proved the most suitable machine to install the Still Water piece; with its ability to lift and carry the sculpture into position within the grounds. Nic Fiddian Green’s next exhibition opens on June 6th 2013. His monumental “Head of Christ” and smaller studies for the piece will be on show at a gallery in 57 Jermyn Street.
