TCA Lifting Expands Its Maeda Mini-Crane Range

TCA Lifting, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist access and lifting equipment, has taken delivery of its first level crawler crane, the LC785. This unit is the first of several LC cranes that will be added to its fleet over the coming months. The first job for this machine will be to lift and fit a 1.5-ton sculpture into a private residence in the southeast of England.

The sculpture, designed and created by Nic Fiddian Green and named Still Water, was originally commissioned for Lady Bamford. The original piece was first installed at Marble Arch while the Bamfords sought planning permission, and then taken to their Gloucestershire estate. But it was much missed at Marble Arch so Fiddian Green sculpted a copy for the spot. A further 16-ft copy has recently been sculpted for a private residence.

The LC785 proved the most suitable machine to install the Still Water piece; with its ability to lift and carry the sculpture into position within the grounds.
