UNIC Cranes Europe to show spider crane on wheels at Bauma

UNIC Cranes Europe will showcase the latest innovation in compact crane engineering, the battery powered Eco-095 spider crane on wheels, at the Bauma exhibition in Munich next week, which takes place 15-21 April, 2013.

Designed especially for interior lifting operations in sensitive environments, the 0.995t capacity Eco-095 mini crane will be making its first public appearance outside Japan at UNIC Cranes Europe’s stand (F11/1102/5) at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.

UNIC Cranes Europe CEO Graeme Riley said: “Our bright green Eco-095 mini crane will be hard to miss amongst the rest of our signature red cranes on our stand at Bauma this year.”

Developed by Japanese manufacturer Furukawa Unic, the Eco-095 and the higher capacity 2.9t Eco-295 model are the first wheeled mini cranes in production and offer fume-free and noise-free lifting in enclosed, restricted access areas. These environmentally-friendly, compact machines feature a rechargeable 48v battery which provides power for 2.5 hours of continuous operation.

The Eco-095 and Eco-295 cranes are ideal for completing lifting tasks with minimum disruption to the surrounding atmosphere in a variety of sensitive working locations such as food processing plants, listed buildings, museums and galleries, shopping centres, airports, hospitals and other clean environments.

With the minimal dimensions and lifting power of standard UNIC mini crane models, the 750mm wide Eco-095 and Eco-295 cranes can be easily transported in a goods elevator, moved through a standard doorway and controlled using radio remote.

Bauma show visitors will also be able to take a closer look at eight other UNIC mini spider crane models, including the world’s most compact crane, the 600mm wide UNIC URW-094 and the highest capacity spider in the UNIC range, the 10t UNIC URW-1006.
