Hyster launches UT to simplify materials handling

Hyster has introduced its new UT Series range to the Asia-Pacific region for customers seeking to cost-effectively tackle simple everyday materials handling needs.

The new UT Series diesel or dual-fuel counterbalance lift trucks, pallet trucks and stackers, in six different capacities from 1.5-3.5t, deliver an affordable and uncomplicated range suitable for many industries, including food and beverage, warehousing, manufacturing and logistics.

Hyster’s slogan for the range, “Meets the Need. Makes the Move.” – relates to customers who don’t need particularly advanced functionality features, but prefer proven materials handling solutions backed by a supplier they can trust and with the support of a reputable service network extending across Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Korea and Taiwan .

Hyster says this uncomplicated approach to materials handling – backed by 24/7 service – is particularly suitable for customers whose materials handling equipment is required to work intermittently over a working week, on an as-required basis, typically up to 1000 hours a year.

Hyster already has a long-established, professional dealer and service network extending across Asia-Pacific. Hyster-Yale Asia-Pacific managing director, Tony Fagg says, “Hyster’s Asia-Pacific network of especially chosen, experienced, independent dealers with outstanding service backup offers a wide range of support services delivering reliability and productivity to their customers.

“The advantage the new range brings with its ‘Meets the Need’ value proposition is fine-tuned responsiveness to customers’ individual needs, including varying hours of service, different applications, cost of ownership, capability, strength and dependability of the product,” says Fagg.

Rather than pigeon-hole basic utility needs or offer one-size-fits-all solutions the UT Series is designed to open a discussion with customers about their specific needs and daily use.

“Then our established Asia-Pacific dealer network can bring their extensive expertise to deliver cost-effective, quality solutions for individual customers,” says Tony Fagg.

The ergonomically designed operator compartment, with a familiar automotive layout means that drivers can work comfortably, preventing tiredness during handling operations. A range of standard features and options help to ensure that the truck is configured to the needs of the application.

Because of the simplicity of the components and specification, servicing can be carried out quickly and easily, even when PCs, laptops or diagnostic tools are not available.

The use of proven, high-quality components as well as efficient filtration and cooling  results in a reliable truck, subject to lower wear and tear. This, together with a standard warranty and the fast availability of cost‐effective replacement parts, helps to reduce service and maintenance requirements and costs.
