Lifting Equipment Store appoints export manager

UK materials handling equipment supplier, Lifting Equipment Store has appointed Charmaine Jennings to the newly created position of export manager.

Jennings joins the Stourbridge, UK-based firm reporting to George Dunn, general manager and will be responsible for overseeing all export accounts and inquiries, managing international distributors, developing accounts, and negotiating contracts. She will also help to build the company’s overseas business.

Will Dunn, CEO said, “I’m really pleased to be welcoming Charmaine to the team.  She’s got a knack for international business, she’s got drive, and she knows how to handle the market. Most importantly, she’s not scared to dive straight in. I’m looking forward to working with her as we continue to build our international presence.”

Jennings has 20 years of sales experience, with much of her career focused on materials handling equipment. Previously she worked at Arbil Ltd as national sales manager, GAP Hire Solutions, Hendrik Veder Group and William Hackett Lifting Products.

She says, “I’m excited to be joining this forward-thinking company and to be putting my own personal touch on the export side of the business. Like many sales people I get a buzz out of closing every single sale, so I’m looking forward to exploring countries and sectors that are open to buying British.”

After a successful 2020, Lifting Equipment Store is preparing for further international growth in 2021, with a particular focus on Africa and Australasia. In September last year, the company announced expansion into the US with the newly-launched Lifting Equipment Store USA based in Houston, Texas.
