JLG and Hinowa mark their long partnership with Series Gen 2 launch

JLG Industries, a leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers and Hinowa, a manufacturer of crawler mounted work platforms, mini dumpers, tracked lift trucks and under carriages, celebrate the twelve and a half years of collaboration with the launch of a renewed EC Series at Bauma 2022.

At the SAIE Show, held in Bologna, Italy in 2010, it was announced that JLG Industries was to sell four of Hinowa’s crawler mounted products under an agreement signed by the two manufacturers, with JLG selling exclusively in the US and other markets outside the European Union. Over the years, the supply agreement evolved to a broader partnership; resulting in extending JLG’s available range of compact crawlers to six models and a manufacturing agreement for JLG’s range of electric construction boom lifts, the so-called EC Series.

Karel Huijser, general manager for JLG in EMEAI, says, “We are incredibly proud of our long-lasting partnership with Hinowa. The launch of the EC Series Gen 2 at Bauma, marks a successful collaboration between our two companies that is based on sharing the same values and an equal passion about product design and development. Whilst not being present at Bauma, we [JLG] are proud to unveil the EC Series at the Hinowa stand.”

During Bauma, both companies will unveil the EC Boom Series Mark II, represented by the EC520AJ. Updates include an advanced battery technology, with an improved battery capacity of 10kW, including the option to upgrade the pack to 20kW for prolonged duty cycles and autonomy. JLG also made improvements around cold weather performance. Another major improvement includes the much-requested 4×4 drive option to increase terrain capability.

Davide Fracca, president of Hinowa, says, “Our partnership is based on trust, and we are both committed to designing, building and supporting class-leading product. We’re so pleased to celebrate not only our 35-year anniversary this year, but also this meaningful twelve and a half year partnership with JLG. We look forward to many more years of success together.”
